School Readiness Assessments
Concerned about whether your child is ready for school?
We can assess your pre-schooler's speech and language skills to determine whether he or she is ready for the demands of the classroom. We can evaluate a child's ability to:
- understand and remember instructions
- understand concepts such as sequence, colour, shape and quantity
- express ideas in age-appropriate words and sentances
- understand concepts such as rhyme, syllable division and sounds, which are important pre-literacy skills.
Holiday courses to build children's pre-literacy skills that will assist with classroom work are held at the Centre.
